About MaxTip ...
I am quite sure that you already noticed the small yellow tooltips that pop up when
you hover your mouse pointer over a hyperlink. That's nothing new - but did you know
that same thing happens in your Windows™ Explorer™ ?
Word™ and Excel™ files are handled very nicely: you see author, title ... just like on this screenshot I made using the German Windows™ 2000: ![]() PS: Window™ 2000 doesn't allow me to capture the mouse pointer for screenshots ... it hovers over Computergrafik1.doc Unfortunately, Microsoft™ doesn't code this handy feature for the most common multimedia file formats such as Gif, Jpeg ... but I did ! MaxTip is able to recognise many, many file formats and best of all: it's free ! ![]() Great music, great tooltip: MaxTip gives detailled information even about your MP3s ! Due to Window's™ re-use of its Explorer™ within many dialogs you are able to see MaxTip in action even by opening a file: ![]() MaxTip shows MP3 details while selecting some files for WinAmp™ At the moment MaxTip's development goes on and on - therefore it's features will become more and more:
